The TRVLBEES Collection: family-friendly stylish sustainable hotels & hideaways

With so many travel sites out there telling you where to go and where to stay, why choose TRVLBEES?

Let us tell you about our values. We have an unwavering commitment to uncovering and promoting family-friendly stylish sustainable hotels, eco-retreats, and B&Bs. If you are a member of our community – or are looking to join our community – we assume these are your values, too. With over 5,000 families in the mix, we give you recommendations on where you should spend your next family getaway. And we rely on you to let us know when you find a new gem that aligns with our values, so that we can share it with the larger community. That is how the TRVLBEES community works.

Now, just how are those values embodied by our properties? Let us give you a few examples . . .

Stone House Bali (Ubud, Bali, Indonesia)

If a private, luxury hideaway set among the Balinese jungle sounds like a dream, then we’ve identified your next holiday. With the ability to rent a private villa or the entire property (3 villas in total) for a larger group, the Stone House Bali offers a very personal, unique experience for its guests. Describing itself as “authentic Balinese, rustic chic, with a little bit of luxury thrown in,” one way the B&B demonstrates its sustainability through its lovely furniture, which is made from Balinese and Javanese carpenters from recycled and sustainable Indonesian wood.

Snowman World Glass Eco Resort (Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland)

Would your kids jump at the chance to be neighbors with Santa for a few days? The Snowman World Glass Eco Resort offers not only sledding, ice skating, Santa Claus Village, Elf School, and the Magic Train right next door, it is also a stylish and sustainable retreat. Guests stay in superior glass igloo-like apartments that include a living area, mini-kitchen, upstairs loft with glass ceiling (for viewing the Northern Lights and night sky, of course), and a private hot spring outdoor hot spa and sauna.

Babylonstoren (Boschendal, Western Cape, South Africa)

Kids can get hands-on at this Cape Dutch farmstead in the winelands of the Western Cape by feeding the donkeys and harvesting fruit and vegetables from the beautiful on-site gardens. Stylishly wine-land chic, the hotel is characterized by thick whitewashed walls, elegant gables, and hearty fireplaces that give you the feel of a true farm stay experience.

Enagron Eco Village (Crete, Greece)

Kids will delight in riding donkeys and ponies, helping the village chef make bread and cheese, and exploring the nearby beautiful stalactite caves in this unique eco-village tucked in the mountains and olive groves of Crete. Sustainability is the priority at this 32-apartment retreat; the property is powered by solar panels and boasts numerous fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and grape vines.

Are you feeling a sense of wanderlust yet? And these are just a few of theproperties awaiting you in our collection . . .

TRVLBEES is working every day to identify new and existing properties that offer an authentic experience for the whole family in an environmentally-friendly way. When you search properties in the TRVLBEES collection, our members will tell you exactly why kids will be thrilled with a property, the perks for parents (i.e. – like a kids’ club on-site that allows parents to relax), why the location of the property is such a plus, and if and how the property is sustainable (although our aim is to have only sustainable properties in the TRVLBEES Collection within the next 5 years, currently about half of them are).

Whether it be urban bee keeping, a use of local, seasonal produce, an eco-friendly site design and use of materials, energy and waste reduction, authentically connecting with the local community, or appreciating and protecting the flora and fauna of the region, we believe stylish, sustainable retreats are the future. Most of the TRVLBEES properties in our collection are making a positive change to their local communities and the wider world. Aren’t you proud to support a business model like that? We sure are.

So, come take a glance at all the spectacular, responsible getaways we’ve uncovered. We can promise you’ll be both impressed and inspired.
